Are you ever like the Noiseless Patient Spider?
I am sure everyone feels like the Noiseless Patient Spider sometimes. Sometimes I feel all alone. Sometimes I feel like I don't fit in but I will never feel like I belong somewhere of I don't try. This spider has taught me that when I don't feel right, and I feel like I don't fit in, I have to make an effort to "launch forth filaments". It is important to just try my best to be adventurous and reach out and be brave.
I agree when you said everyone feels like the spider sometimes. It happens to me a lot i feel miserable,alone,useless and sometimes i wonder whats the point of living ?But the bible and the spider have inspired me to be brave and to give it your best shot no matter what.
ReplyDeleteInteresting thoughts here! I'm curious about what "launching forth filaments" specifically looks like or means for you. The poem says that people are trying to connect spheres with those filaments; so the filaments that I launch forth are often my attempts to understand and make connections between different worlds or experiences or ideas--attempts to arrive at a whole, interwebbed understanding of people and our world and God.
