Huckleberry Finn's Impact on Me

Huckleberry Finn's Impact on Me

I have noticed so far in the story that there is a lot of racism. Black people are at a low level in society and people use "nigger" as an every day word. In my opinion, that is a very rude word and I don't think it should be just said so easily (or at all). I have suffered with racism being different in India and I know that I didn't like that. The black people weren't just victims of racism, they were also slaves and treated poorly. The white people thought that their skin color labeled them and their value as a person. For example, it says a person's name and the only description that they got was "she was a nigger woman" while the white people got a description that described them for who they were and not just by the color of their skin. I think that one thing that I can take away from this is to treat everyone equally and be good to them.
